Jordan Berrios
Florida Notary Public
About
The seal is the last step. The reading comes first.
I am Jordan Berrios, a Florida Notary Public and the founder of Cruise Notary Services. I studied Legal Studies at the University of Central Florida, am continuing my graduate studies at Harvard, and have spent four years as a commissioned notary reading every document before I seal it. You get a written quote, a signed confidentiality agreement, and your originals back on the day I said.

What I notarize
Any document that requires a seal in Florida.
A defective notarization is rarely discovered by the notary. It is discovered by the title company, the clerk of court, or the school office, at the moment it matters most. Every document I handle is read in full, prepared in advance, and executed so that it holds on first review.
Real estate
Deeds, closing packages, affidavits of title, and powers of attorney. Title companies and lenders require each acknowledgment to be exact, and I prepare them accordingly.
Legal and court documents
Affidavits, sworn statements, settlement agreements, and any instrument your attorney has asked you to have notarized. Completed in the form the court expects.
Medical and healthcare
Advance directives, HIPAA authorizations, and consent forms. Handled discreetly, at your pace, in whatever setting the circumstances require.
School, sports, and youth
Travel consent for minors, early-release and athletic forms, guardianship letters. Typically completed the same day, well ahead of the deadline.
Everyday notarizations
Acknowledgments, jurats, oaths and affirmations, and certified copies. One document, properly executed, usually on the day you request it.
Vote-by-mail ballot witnessing
Provided without charge. Florida notaries witness vote-by-mail ballots at no cost, and I am glad to do so.
Pricing
Two prices. The State fee is always its own line.
Florida law caps the notarial fee at ten dollars per act, and that fee appears on its own line of every invoice. Each additional charge is named for the service it covers: printing, photocopying, record-keeping, shipping. Nothing is folded into the notarization itself.

How it works
Four steps, and calm water throughout.
Requests are handled in the order received. A single document is ordinarily completed within one business day; a package of ten to forty pages, within approximately three.

Send the documents
Use the quote form on this page. Describe the documents, your deadline, and the return address for originals; when I reply, attach the files or send a WeTransfer link. Originals may also be shipped.
- 02
Receive a quote and sign the agreement
I review the documents in full, count the notarial acts, and send a written quote. Before I handle anything sensitive, you receive a short confidentiality agreement: your information is never sold, shared, or retained beyond what Florida law requires.
- 03
Sign once, in person
Florida requires the signer to appear before the notary. Bring valid photo identification and leave the signature line blank. Every page is printed and flagged before you arrive, so the appointment itself takes minutes.
- 04
Record, then return
Each act is entered in the journal and reported as the State requires. You receive the completed documents by email, and the originals are shipped to the address you provided, expedited on request.

Before we meet
A brief checklist, so the signing takes minutes.
Nearly every delay traces to one of the items below. Review them once, and the signing becomes the simplest part of the process.
Bring
- 1A current government-issued photo ID: a Florida or other state driver license or identification card, a passport, or a military ID.
- 2Every person whose signature is required. I cannot notarize for a signer who is not present.
- 3The complete document, with no blanks left unfilled.
- 4The type of notarization required. The document, or the party requesting it, will specify. I am not permitted to choose it for you.
- 5An unsigned document. The signature is made in my presence, not before.
If you do not hold valid identification, Florida law permits credible witnesses who know you and can themselves be identified. Let me know in advance and we will arrange it.
What a notary cannot do
Knowing this up front saves everyone a second trip.
- Offer legal advice, or assist in preparing or selecting a legal document.
- Select the notarial certificate on your behalf.
- Notarize an incomplete document, or one signed before our meeting.
- Notarize for a signer who is not physically present.
- Notarize for my spouse, parent, or child, or in any matter in which I hold a financial interest.
Questions
Questions, answered.
How quickly can it be done?
A single document is ordinarily completed within one business day. A package of ten to forty pages takes approximately three. Requests are handled in the order received, and expedited service is quoted separately.
May I simply email the documents?
Yes. Start with the quote form; when I reply, attach the documents or send a WeTransfer link for larger files. I print them at my office so they are ready when we meet. Originals may also be shipped.
Do I need to appear in person?
For a traditional notarization in Florida, yes. The signer must appear before the notary with valid identification. I am not currently registered for remote online notarization.
Why does a thirty-page package cost so much more than a single page?
A package comprises many separate notarial acts, each carrying its own ten-dollar State fee, together with photocopying every page, journaling and reporting each act, and returning the originals by courier. The State fee is itemized on every invoice, so the division between Florida's charge and mine is always visible.
What identification is required?
A current government-issued photo ID: a Florida or other state driver license or identification card, a passport, or a military ID. If you do not hold one, Florida law permits credible witnesses. Let me know in advance.
Can you tell me which form, or which type of notarization, I need?
No. I am not permitted to give legal advice or to select the type of notarization on your behalf. Your document, your attorney, or the requesting agency will specify. I am glad to explain, in plain terms, the difference between an acknowledgment and a jurat.
Do you work outside Florida?
No. My commission is issued by the State of Florida and is valid only within it. Documents may originate anywhere, but the signing must take place in Florida.
How do I pay?
By Zelle, Cash App, PayPal, Apple Cash, or Venmo, upon return of your completed documents.
What happens to my information?
You sign a short confidentiality agreement with me before I handle anything. Your documents and personal details are never sold or shared, and copies are retained only as long as Florida law requires for the notary journal.
